Have you ever seen the whale tale sculptures on the way to Burlington? Did you know that whale bones were found in a nearby Vermont field? Vermont children's author, Erin Rounds reads her book Charlotte's Bones, the story about the discovery of the now-famous whale skeleton in Charlotte, VT in 1849.
This will be followed by a presentation of Dartmouth paleontologist, Jeremy DeSilva about his work with ancient bones and fossils. Perfect for the kids fascinated with dinosaurs and bones, and for adults who want to learn more about the natural history of our region!
This event takes place after Wild Walker’s camp and is free to campers.
