Wilderness: A Way of Life in the woods, ponds and fields around The Nature Museum at Grafton. Wild Walkers is a partnership between The Nature Museum and Vermont Wilderness School, offering day-long outdoor experiences for youth ages 10 to 14. The Wild Walkers will explore their senses while in nature by tracking animals, wilderness navigation, foraging, fire-making, outdoor cooking, and more. This camp will activate the body and engage the mind through wilderness awareness. Experienced instructors from Vermont Wilderness School guide kids in a safe, fun, respectful experience of living close to the earth. At Wild Walkers, youth build self-confidence and resiliency outdoors while learning ancient wilderness skills.
Youth should bring a hearty bagged lunch, water bottle, & appropriate clothes to all programs.
