A Busy Spring Break at the Nature Museum
April Break week at The Nature Museum was wonderful, fun, and exciting way to kick off spring! Although we didn't have the most ideal weather, each day, folks young and old explored the museum, learned something new at our daily programs, took to the trails, created magnificent crafts, and went on adventures of their own with help of The Nature Museum's adventure packs and scavenger hunts! We had a a wonderful mix of old and new friends visit the museum.
Our Earth Day celebration on Saturday was a true highlight of the week. Sun and warmth made a welcomed appearance. Many learned of the native Abenaki and their genuine connection to the land. All enjoyed the beautiful and delicious Earth Day cake, which was created by Erin Hennessey with inspiration from Abenaki creation story in which the mythological figure, Tolba the turtle, had the land of the earth molded on its back. Smiles, laughs, learning, and play both inside and outside made this year's April Break week another wonderful success!
