Under the Water -- Week Three of Summer Unplugged

Program for Week Three, July 10th, 11th, 12th

About Summer Unplugged: Thanks to the generous support from Great River Hydro, The Nature Museum brings free environmental education programming to public libraries and the Bellows Falls Fish Ladder and Visitor Center during the summer months. These engaging free programs highlight topics related to the unique ecology and landscape of Northern New England.

Geared toward ages Pre-K through elementary grades, all ages are welcome. Programs will be 45 minutes long with dedicated time for a story reading and any nature-related questions you may have for our expert educators.

No registration is necessary. Library programs will be outdoors with lots of space for everyone, and inside during inclement weather. Join us to unplug, discover, and learn!

Who is Swimming in the Water?

Should fur get wet? Can a fish live both in the ocean and in a river? What’s a macroinvertebrate? There’s more in our rivers, streams, and ponds than just fish! Join us to learn about the Connecticut River and its tributaries that are home to fish, amphibians, insects, otters, and many non-swimming creatures too! Explore pictures, hands-on biofacts, listen to a story, and dive into learning more about our native water-loving creatures!
