Come ready to learn some tips and tricks of basic tree ID as we take a closer look at common Vermont tree species throughout the Nature Museum grounds and surrounding areas. Specifically, we’ll focus on bark characteristics and recognizing basic landscape characteristics beyond the tree to help you be a better forest detective. Nature Museum Environmental Educator, Jay DeGregorio, will lead this fun and engaging spring outing. No tree ID experience needed!
Participants should be prepared for some moderate hiking on uneven terrain. Plan to bring water, a snack, and anything else you may need to be safe and comfortable for 2 hours.
