Learn about the world of snow and ice! Join the naturalists at The Nature Museum to explore the dynamic winter landscape of the Green Mountains. Campers should come prepared to go snowshoeing, sledding, tracking, build shelters in the woods, and enjoy a campfire at the end of each day.

Daily Themes:
February 22nd - Animals in Winter
How do animals survive in the cold? We will explore animal hibernation, migration, winter adaptations, and tracking. We’ll explore special animals pelts, mounts, paws, and more. Get your detective hat on and be ready to head out into the nearby forests and fields to search and discover real animal tracks and signs!
February 23rd - Fire and Ice: Winter Science
What different types of snow are there? How do trees survive the winter? Can snow actually keep you warm? How do you safely and responsibly start a fire? We’ll explore all things winter science with lots of hands-on lessons, activities, and exploration.
February 24th - Winter Play
Winter is a special time to get outside, move, play, and explore. We’ll spend the day trying out all kinds of winter play, movement, and active learning in the nearby fields and forests. We’ll engage in snowshoeing, sledding, snow-fort building, snow art, and more.
