Webinar: Winter Birding In Windham County Vermont With Chad Witko

Thursday, November 17th 7:00PM - 8:30PM

Webinar, Zoom

Sliding scale $15, $20, $25

In Vermont’s southeastern-most county, birders have observed 294 species of birds over the years. Many of these are breeding species here for the summer or migrants passing through each spring and fall to far-flung locations, some half a hemisphere away. Yet, despite many species spending their winters elsewhere, birders can still find an incredibly rich and diverse set of bird species each winter in Windham’s forests, fields, rivers, and backyards.

Chad will give Windham’s winter bird species a detailed overview during this webinar, presenting their status, distribution, and ecology. Chad will also offer tips for finding and identifying some of Windham’s more remarkable and rare winter birds, from backyard regulars and winter visitors to irruptive finches and owls.
