Winter Hike/Snowshoe With a Naturalist

  • 186 Townshend Road Grafton, VT, 05146 United States (map)

Join The Nature Museum’s Educator and Naturalist, Jay, on an early winter saunter through the forests and fields of The Nature Museum and the nearby Grafton Town Forest. Learn more about the land through movement of the body and exercising the mind with new discoveries. We’ll talk trees, tracks, turning of the seasons, and other natural curiosities we discover. Curious questions and discussion about anything in nature will be welcomed and encouraged. Regardless of a little snow, we’re a go.

This program is geared towards families with older children (8+) and adults. We’ll be outdoors for the duration of the program as this moderate hike/snowshoe across the new winter landscape. The museum has snowshoe rentals available by reservation (Free with registration. First come, first served). Please select this on your registration if needed! If there is hazardous weather (snowstorm, ice storm, high winds, etc.) we will have a makeup program the following day at the same time.

Registration is sliding scale $5 - $15 per person. Limited to 20 participants.
