The Nature Museum is thrilled to host author and climate change activist, Bill McKibben, at the Grafton Community Church at 7 pm, February 8th.

Since publishing the now classic The End of Nature in 1989, widely credited with launching the movement against climate change, McKibben has been at the forefront of nearly every fight on behalf of the environment. In addition to a string of books addressing the human impact on the planet—Enough, Deep Economy, and Eaarth—he founded 350.org, a global citizens’ movement working to lower carbon emissions. In his newest book, Falter, he continues this urgent mission, coupling it with a warning about trends like AI and robotics which, along with the ideologies that fuel them, threaten to substantially alter the nature of human experience and possibly end civilization as we have known it. When asked if Bill had any hope for our future, he responded by saying he wouldn't have bothered to write this book if didn't! Join us at this important event to hear Bill share his ideas for a way out of the trap we currently find ourselves in.
