The summer solstice is celebrated in a variety of ways across the globe. From skygazing in Croatia to sun salutations in Times Square, The Nature Museum will recognize the longest day of the year by honoring our pollinators.
Did you know that most of the bees in a hive are female or that bees dance to tell their co-workers where to find a patch of flowers? Come celebrate the start of summer with us and learn about bees and pollinators. We will walk through our garden and surrounding fields with one of our Environmental Educators to learn more about these amazing insects and animals!
About Kindred Spirits
This Saturday program series is designed to build a greater understanding between all creatures of the Earth by exploring the mysteries of nature. By offering a shared experience that draws families together, participants will develop a stronger kinship with our Earth and each other. Programs will take place rain or shine, with hands-on activities both indoors and out.
