Ages: 3 to 5 years old + caregiver

The leaves are gone, nights become cold, and the chilly winds begin to blow. The first signs of winter are right at our doorstep during this time of year. For us that means getting out our winter coats, gloves, and hats! But, what changes let animals know that winter is coming? What do they do to get ready for winter and why? Learn what animals leave for winter, what animals sleep for winter, and what animals stay awake and ready for winter. Come investigate fur, feathers, and more to learn about what helps animals get through winter in northern New England.

This preschool club meets inside the museum here in Grafton and explores the outdoors on a variety of adventures to field, forest and pond throughout the 90-minute hands-on program. Children should be dressed for spending some of this time outside.

Drops-ins are welcome! Preregistration is encouraged but is not required. We hope you will join us this Friday!

Due to unforeseen circumstances, we have to cancel this Kindred Spirits program scheduled for Saturday, November 4. Please accept our apologies. Send well wishes to our beloved Environmental Educator Jay DeGregorio who is ill. We expect Jay will make a full recovery and will be back at work in a couple of weeks.
