At the Ladder: The Colors of Fall

  • Bellows Falls Visitor Center 17 Bridge St. Bellows Falls, VT 05101 (map)

Why do leaves turn a different color in fall?  Why do trees lose their leaves? Countless shades of yellow, orange, red, and brown will color our woods! Come learn about what happens in the natural world during the fall season.  Stories, hands-on items and a craft is included!

The Colors of Fall” is a part of a series of special summer programming that we are offering on Fridays and Saturdays at the Fish Ladder Visitor Center for all ages. These free drop-in sessions are led by Jay DeGregorio, one of our Environmental Educators. This program is made possible with the generous support of Great River Hydro, owners of the hydroelectric plant in Bellows Falls on the Connecticut River.
