Did you know there are 110 different species of trees and shrubs in Vermont? Our trees and shrubs have some amazing secrets and can tell great stories about Vermont’s natural history. Jay, one of The Nature Museum’s naturalists will help you unlock the riddles our woods hold, teach you some great facts about the forest that surround us and offer up a fantastic craft.
“Trees - Tall Storytellers of the Land” is a part of a series of special summer programming that we are offering on Fridays at the Rockingham Library in Bellows Falls. These programs were previously to be held at the Bellows Falls Visitor Center but the center has had to temporarily close.. These free drop-in sessions are led by Jay DeGregorio, one of our Environmental Educators. This program is made possible with the generous support of Great River Hydro, owners of the hydroelectric plant in Bellows Falls on the Connecticut River.
